Classroom Aide/Facilitator
Garfield Park Academy is seeking full-time Classroom Aides/Facilitators for our small self-contained classrooms. Our facilitators are valued members of our special education teams, collaborating closely with teachers, aides, social workers, and therapists. Together, we implement the evidence-based Teaching-Family Model to foster meaningful social and academic learning, as well as healthy decision-making among students facing behavioral challenges and learning issues.
About the Role
- Support teachers in delivering individualized instruction and creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in implementing the Teaching-Family Model to enhance student engagement and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the special education team to support student growth.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere in the classroom.
- Engage with students to promote social and emotional learning.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; coursework in education or related field preferred.
