3 Free CEU Credits for New Jersey Educators
Every day, educators work to help students with behavior challenges, and are called upon to help students regain self-control in seemingly out-of-control situations.
The key to preventing a crisis is to see it coming… and to take action. Did you know that in most cases, you can prevent escalation of disruptive behavior with your own behaviors? Your ability to remain calm, organize your thinking, and respond effectively can help you avoid a potential crisis.
In the program, participants will learn:
- Background and theory of de-escalation.
- Effective tools and techniques to help de-escalate a situation.
- How and when to apply techniques.
- What to do when techniques are not working.
This program is offered as an outreach service to the greater education community in and around Southern New Jersey. There is no cost for the workshop or lunch.
