- ASAH – ASAH (formerly the Association of Schools and Agencies for the Handicapped) is a professional organization of private schools and agencies in New Jersey which provides highly specialized services to children and adults with special needs.
- Ask Jeeves for Kids – This is a junior version of the popular Ask Jeeves Web site. Ask a question, you’ll get answers plus links. Asking about the book To Kill A Mockingbird, for instance, led to a site that gave character analyses.
- CAST – Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST) is an educational, not-for-profit organization that uses technology to expand opportunities for all people, including those with disabilities.
- Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) – One of the largest and best-known resources for finding support, CHADD is the national non-profit organization representing children and adults with ADD/ADHD. There are hundreds of chapters throughout the United States and Canada .
- International Dyslexia Association – National nonprofit organization dedicated to the study and treatment of dyslexia. The web site offers information about the society, dyslexia, current research, technology, legislative issues, conferences and more.
- Juvenile Bipolar Research Foundation – The Juvenile Bipolar Research Foundation is the first charitable organization dedicated to the support of research for the study of early-onset bipolar disorder.
- LD Online: Learning Disabilities Information & Resources – Produced by PBS station WETA’s ( Washington DC ) The Learning Project, this colorful and well-organized interactive site includes a KidZone (stories and artwork by children with LD), in-depth articles, a comprehensive listing of resources, bulletin boards and audio clips featuring such experts as Richard Lavoie.

- Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D) – RFB&D was established in 1948 to provide recorded textbooks to veterans blinded in World War II. Today, RFB&D provides educational materials at every academic level in recorded and computerized formats to individuals who are unable to use standard print. Books, texts, and reference materials are available to people with dyslexia, or with visual, perceptual, or physical disabilities.
