Automotive Technology Center Dedicated to Long-Time Educator Pasqual Galeone
The Automotive Center at Garfield Park Academy was recently dedicated as The Galeone Automotive Training Center, named for Pasqual Galeone, who served as the director of GPA’s automobile technology program. Dr. Steven Morse Honored for Cutting-Edge Work in Special Education
Dr. Steven Morse, Superintendent of Garfield Park Academy, was recently honored by the international Teaching-Family Association for his progressive approach to the education of students with disabilities. The award recognizes an individual for significant contributions to the development, refinement and implementation of the Teaching-Family Model, an evidence-based approach to treatment for at-risk youth.

GPA’s Automotive Program Receives National Accreditation
Garfield Park Academy’s automotive program has received accreditation from the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), and The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), making it the only state-approved private school for students with disabilities in New Jersey to have an accredited program.
