The Automotive Center at Garfield Park Academy was recently dedicated as The Galeone Automotive Training Center, named for Pasqual Galeone, who served as the director of GPA’s automobile technology program.

Galeone supervised instruction there for hundreds of teens and young adults—mostly men—interested in exploring a career in auto maintenance.

The 90-year-old Galeone was humbled. “I love working with the students and helping them prepare for a career in automotive technology,” said Galeone.

“I just want to give them my best—they deserve it.”
